The Kia Forte was all-new for 2019, coming hot off the heels of a significant redesign resulting in a stronger chassis, a sleeker fastback-style profile and an improved interior with styling cues lifted from the Kia Stinger. Only the four-door sedan is available for the 2019 model year. All trims share the 2.0L inline-four carried over from the previous generation. Just like the previous generation, this engine is rated at 147 hp.
The 2019 Kia Forte comes in FE, LX, S, EX and Launch Edition trims. The base FE trim features cloth seat trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control and a rearview camera. The LX trim lets you trade the FE’s 15-inch steel wheels for 16-inch alloys, plus you’ll get 60/40 split-folding rear seats and a standard continuously variable transmission. The sporty S trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, UVO eServices with eight-inch touchscreen display, power windows and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. LED headlights are also available on the S trim.
The EX trim is where you’ll find the Sofino synthetic leather seat trim, plus upscale features like front fog lights, outside mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, push button start and a host of driver-assistive features including blind spot collision warning, lane change assist and forward collision avoidance assist. Unique to the 2019 Kia Forte is the Launch Edition trim, which was created to commemorate the compact sedan’s third-generation debut. The Launch Edition adds a rear spoiler, 17-inch graphite-finished alloy wheels, premium navigation, wireless device charging and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon® premium audio system, just to name a few features.

Reviews for 2019 Kia Forte
Fantastic car with great mileage
Fantastic car with great gas mileage and a great price. I was able to get the car transferred from the Car Max in Charlottesville to the Car Max at Midlothian, Virginia with no problems.
- Reliability: It gets me to and from work and around town.
- Power: My Forte really does turns, hills and curves really well.
- Ride and Handling: We took the Forte on a major road trip from Virginia to Mississippi just recently and it drove like a dream on the expressways.
it’s an ok car, just not for me
Good has mileage, standard smaller sedan
- Fuel Economy: Good on gas
- Styling: just boring inside
You won’t regret it
I bought this car as a commuter car to go to work or get groceries and it’s perfect for that. Gas is excellent and it drives so smooth. The best part of the car is the sport mode. If I’m ever going on a long drive or vacation the sport mode makes the car go so fast and tight and it’s just plain fun. This is my first Kia and definitely won’t be my last.
