The last reliable NA V8 SUV from Lexus.
PROS
Reliability
It's super reliable. I don't have to take it in for service. Ever! I do some of my own maintenance, but this thing keeps on truckin' without a care in the world.
Cargo Space
I have more than enough cargo space without the 3rd row. It's very large inside and easily configurable to lug around a slew of large and oddly shaped items.
Ride and Handling
The GX460 is an off-road beast. ...and an on-road beast as well. It's comfortable on and off the road. I don't worry about pot-holes. I can ride over anything without a care in the world; even curbs aren't intimidating.
CONS
Fuel Economy
For 300+hp it sure does guzzle gas at approx. 14 - 15 mpg. Still though, this is a heavy vehicle, so it's expected.
Technology and Entertainment
It is quite outdated tech-wise, but I didn't get the latest model which has upgraded tech. Lots of power operated equipment (which is nice), but the entertainment is outdated. Still though, I connect my phone via bluetooth and I play whatever I want through my phone.
Styling
It isn't the prettiest thing in the world. The style is very boxy, but ugly boxy. I have gotten used to it, and since I've been upgrading it to be an overlander it's looking better and better. Stock though, yeah... There are other nicer looking SUVs out there.
