This car is everything I thought it would be. Very smooth ride.. really comfortable with all the bells and whistles you want in a luxury car. The drive itself is ok - but I only say that because my previous car was an Infiniti G Coupe. It also has a very boring looking shape/style - but the comfort and convenience are what I bought it for and so far, that's exactly what it's delivered.
Well, where should I start. First off I never been into cars. Just as long as it was foreign and looked pretty and shiny then I would pick it. I had a 2007 BMW 328 and it never gave me problems, it drove well, and had MOST of the features in it that I was looking for. Recently that car was totaled and I was on the hunt again for a vehicle. My choices were Lexus IS250, Mercedes C300, Or another Beemer 3or5 Series. After test driving Mercedes & Lexus. I chose Lexus! For the money for a Mercedes I didn't have HALF of the features I was looking for that came in the Lexus! Lexus is a smooth ride compared to BMW which grips the road and is DEFINITELY A TOUGH CAR. It is the ULTIMATE DRIVING EXPERIENCE! However Lexus is a smoother ride and I have Tons of features/gadgets in my vehicle, therefore I got more bang for my buck! Also Lexus hold its value so on that note Im confident that I made the right decision. Now the problem I had with Carmax was when I bought the car after a few weeks I noticed my front head light had condensation/fog/water built up inside, which made the light to continue to blow out. That problem should NOT been there, and that vehicle should have not been sold to me like that. I was told by Lexus that the vehicle had been in an accident and whomever put the front of the car back together DID NOT do a good job, which would explain the fog/water build up in the light due to a crack that wasent sealed properly. Now no accident did not show on my Carfax so I was a little disappointed by that, that Carmax don't tell you although no accident shows on the Carfax IT IS STILL A POSSIBILITY THAT THE CAR HAS BEEN IN A ACCIDENT! N-e-way I took the car back to Carmax and they took the car, gave me a loaner, ordered the part and fixed the car immediately at NO CHARGE! I was only without my vehicle for one day. The Service people were very nice and helpful about the situation, even my car salesman. Other than that issue, I Love my new car and all of its features!
When I was shopping for this car, I was debating between the Lexus IS 250, BMW 3 series, and the new 2010 Chevy Camaro. When I drove the Lexus, I was very pleased with the ride and the trunk space was good for the size of the car. The Camaro would have been a fun car, but not practical as it is a 2 door and has a really small trunk. The Lexus and the Camaro get about the same gas mileage, so that was not a factor except that it was tempting to get the Camaro since it has about 100 more hp. Between the BMW and the Lexus, they are both really sharp looking cars. I do like the reputation for reliability that Lexus has, so I leaned towards the Japanese vehicle. I ended up getting a white Lexus IS 250 and have been really pleased. The car is averaging about 27 miles per gallon, but on some of the tanks of gas, I am getting over 30mpg. I love the keyless entry and push button start. I also like how it is next to impossible to lock your keys in the car as it senses when the keys are inside and outside of the car. As long as the car remains reliable, I am looking forward to many years of enjoyable driving. The only thing that I would change about the car would be to have some more storage in the cabin of the car. The glove box is small and there are limited places to store things. This is not a huge issue as it has encouraged me to keep the car a little more tidy inside. Overall, the best car that I have owned.
