Lexus IS 250 vs. Other Cars
Lexus IS 250 vs. Audi A4
The Audi A4 shares much of the same technology and luxury found in the Lexus IS 250. 2015 Audi A4s with the standard 2.0L engine produces an impressive 220 horsepower while getting an EPA-estimated 26 mpg combined.1 The Audi A4 is only available with all-wheel drive. 2015-and-newer Audi A4 models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission but there's an eight-speed automatic transmission available. 2013-and-newer Audi A4s are available in three different body styles: a sedan, a wagon (Avant), or the off-road themed A4 AllRoads.
Lexus IS 250 vs. Acura TLX
From 2015 and later, some Acura TLX models have all-wheel steering, which allows the rear wheels to turn slightly. This type of steering should give the Acura TLX a better turning radius, ideal if you're looking for a car with tight handling. If you're hoping to reduce the costs of your commute, the 2015 Acura TLX gets an EPA-estimated combined mileage of 28 mpg with the 2.4L engine (the similar engine in the IS 250 gets an estimated 24 mpg combined).1 The Acura TLX is equipped with a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission too.
Lexus IS 250 vs. Infinity Q50
If you carry a lot of passengers or enjoy a roomy interior, consider the Infinity Q50. The 2015-and-newer Infinity Q50 offers 101.9 cubic feet of passenger space in models without a moonroof (compared to the IS 250's 90.2 cubic feet). The 2015 and newer Q50 also provides an available hybrid system with 360 horsepower combined from the engine and electric motor. The hybrid system gets an impressive EPA-estimated 31 mpg combined on 2015 models (compared to the EPA-estimated 24 mpg combine on the IS 250's 2.5L engine).1

Reviews for Lexus IS 250
I have enjoyed this make and model for 7 years!
You get everything with this car! An updated look, style, performance, handling, a great sound system and much more.
Pros
- Styling: It's a very sophisticated sports sadan. I owned the same car before this one and was very pleased that the previous onwner to just as much care of it than I did with my old car.
- Reliability: I owned the same model car before this one for 6 years and would have had it longer if it wouldn't have gotten damaged. I went back for the same make and model because I was very impressed with the performance and safety features.
- Power: I like the ability to be in manual or automatic mode and still have the same power and performance.
Love this car!! Would recommend to everyone
It drives great!! Great gas mileage, looks nice, only downfall is not build for large ppl to ride or drive in this car.
Pros
- Fuel Economy: Good gas mileage
- Cabin Noise: Very quiet
- Dashboard: All the bells and whistles
Cons
- Interior Space: Small seats
- Visibility: Rides very low to ground
- Seat Comfort: If seats were bigger it would be a good travel car but more a ride around car!!
I love my Lexus
Very stylish and quick car. Nice bucket seats and interior design. It's a very compact car, so if you're tall you may lack some leg room. I'm 5'2 so this is perfect for my size. The stereo system is great and the dashboard is fun and interactive. I like that it tells me how many miles I have left in my tank, what my average speed is, what gear I'm in etc.
Pros
- Dashboard: Bright, modern, interactive
- Ride and Handling: fast, smooth
- Technology and Entertainment: Speakers, GPS
Cons
- Seat Comfort: My only con thus far is wishing the seat warmers were warmer.
