Reviews for Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Great car and great gas mileage

The outlander sport is a smaller SUV that has a lot of space inside for cargo but is a less expensive end of the SUVs. I love having a car that gets great gas mileage and has the space to carrier more than a car. I have read reviews about having issues with power or cabin noise but I haven't had any issues with either and I have taken it on a 12 road trip with it and had a great ride with great gas mileage. I couldn't be happier with my car!

Pros

  • Fuel Economy:
  • Styling:
  • Interior Space:

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment: Sometimes phone has issues syncing to car audio.

MADE FOR EACH OTHER...

I've never been an SUV fan, but my van entered eternal rest, the cars and the kids are grown & gone. It was time. I came. I saw. I tested. I BOUGHT! Great handling, bangin' style and great gas mileage. She hustles AND hauls well on Texas' roads, ramps and highways. In heavy traffic and bad weather, Outlander Sport is responsive. I recently loaded catering food & supplies for 35, plus weekend gear for 3, and 2 adults and though I had to "play Tetris", she held it all with the rear half seat down--without rear window obstruction. "I fooled around and fell in love"(Elvin Bishop) There is a slight blind spot, depending on mirror setting to seat height. Just look back TWICE when changing freeway lanes.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: Responsive
  • Fuel Economy: Very good
  • Styling: Uncramped, uncluttered, clean

Cons

  • Visibility: A slight blind spot (just look back)

Solid, Dependable, and Sporty

It's reliable, it has all the features we wanted. The ergonomics are actually better than later models. Power and acceleration are not an issue. It has the standard downsides of an SUV: the mileage isn't impressive, it's a heavier car than a sedan. The Sport is shorter than the regular Outlander, so it has less cargo space. All in all, it's a great car.

Pros

  • Weather Versatility: It handles all weather well.
  • Power: No problems getting around quickly.
  • Value: Great car for the money.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: It's an SUV, and the fuel economy is a tradeoff.
  • Braking: Braking is a little long.
  • Cargo Space: Cargo space is a little smaller than the regular Outlander.
