Great overall, some mechanical deficiencies
2012 Nissan SentraKat King - Memphis, TN08/31/2015
It's a great compact car. This version came with some upgrades that made the car feel a bit more like a luxury car than an economy car. I've taken it on long road trips, performed well.
However, regarding the mechanical integrity of this particular model of Nissan Sentras, it has some quirks. The continuous transmission provides a couple problems with the sound of grinding gears during shifting points and the brakes seem to stutter more (with only 30.000 miles on them). Also the suspension seemed to wear quickly, causing clicking noises anytime the steering wheel is turned. Overall though the car has held up well for the last 4 months, even if it sounds like it could break sometimes. I've been satisfied with my first vehicle purchase.
My biggest issue while buying a car was finding one that was easy to install 2 carseats in, one forward facing and one rear facing. This car, although compact, definitely has room for the carseats. The car drives so smoothly. And biggest thing of all, it gets great gas mileage. It tells you how many miles until empty as well as your average MPG and what your MPG is at that very moment.
