Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) I really like the Xterra. For the money I think its a great buy. Its got good (not great) acceleration, but Im not a hot rodder anyway. Its comfortable, feels solid, and its got a nice and simple design (which I like)--not alot of frills and gadgetry to go wrong and break. I feel really great driving my kids in it, and I like that I feel I can go explore backroads, mountains, etc., without worrying about getting stuck (I have the 4wd version). Gas mileage is not so good, but its not a trade off I mind, considering all you get for it. Overall quite satisfied.

My only complaint..............

My only complaint about this vehicle is the low gas mileage, but that's what you get with a 4X4 and I wouldn't trade that in!!!! This is a well built rig with enough amenities for a comfortable ride but definitely not a luxury ride. It's great off road and easy to handle. With the back seat sitting higher than the front, it makes it comfortable for the rear passengers with room for storage in the back, but it's not a full size SUV, so you have to pack light sometimes. I would absolutely buy another Xterra and would reccomend it to a friend without hesitation.

perfect for everything

this SUV is perfect for everything, handles and rides great on the highway and paved roads. Off road is where it is most at home. I took mine to Moab, UT and went over trails like Poison Spider Mesa, I had more looks form people that took custom built off roaders and many wondering how I got this up there without breaking it. it has very long suspension travel for a SUV I was amazed by the amount of travel. to my surprise I had the A/C on the whole time I did not even notice and the engine temp never rose above normal
