This is a great all around 4WD vehicle. I have had trucks and jeeps (TJ's) and this is the best of both worlds. You have your 4wd and towing capabilities without having to have an overly large truck. It fits the kids in the back perfectly and has the ability to add cargo space when needed by folding down the rear seats. It gets what you would expect for gas mileage. Does it have all of the bells and whistles? Nope but it has everything that I need. My only modification is replacing the factory stereo and speakers with a DVD/Nav unit.
Nissan Xterra is a great Sport Utility Vehicle! Nothing to complain, great on gas, very low on service, very reliable. I had BMW X5 before, NEVER EVER GO BACK, much less worries about going to the shop every other week. Japanese car manufactures are the BEST!
i love my xterra. i would totally bought it again. i have really enjoyed the se model. i tested a few s models, but i totally love the se. i have thoroughly enjoyed the stereo that comes standard in the se with the subwoofer and the changer. the stereo in the s model is very poor sounding and not mp3 compatible. i also took a trip to the mountains and towed my show car and it did wonderfully. only thing i can say bad is i wish it got a little bit better gas mileage. i am getting 16 in city and about 20 to 21 on the highway.
