2012 Nissan AltimaJamor James - San Antonio, TX10/17/2015
This Altima has plenty of room and power. It's deceptively quick. Definitely a "sleeper ". Great performance and handling. Smooth engine and transmission.
I was originally going to buy an Infiniti G37, but after a test drive I decided to go with the larger Altima. It has more interior room and looks very sporty.
Even though it's rated at 270 horsepower(vs 328 in the G37) it's just as quick. The only thing that I don't like so far are the cheap Nexen all-season tires it came with. They are good for normal driving, but definitely not great for the performance this car has.
Love my altima
2013 Nissan AltimaEboney Johnson - Charlotte, NC09/21/2015
It is great on gas, super roomy, love the all black interior, i have ALL the upgrades other than the leather seats and GPS. Dealing with car max was extremely easy. Everything was done over the phone , the car was shipped then i came in and test drove it, gave the down payment and was on the road in the new new.
Great car, excellent mileage!
2012 Nissan AltimaSteve B - Raleigh, NC12/21/2015
Very good car, excellent mileage on the road for the true road warrior. Itravel a lot and my car has gotten me to and from cities 3 hours away from home and back with 1 tank of gas. It has great handle, acceleration, and hug truck space. I'm a former Camry owner and I love this car a lot more
Nissan Altima Overview
The Nissan Altima is a spacious, mid-size family sedan that emphasizes an engaging experience for the driver.
Significant attention to features, refined controls, and fuel economy have made the Altima an important mainstay for this popular segment of cars.
Nissan Altima History
Introduced in 1993, the Nissan Altima was actually considered a compact-class vehicle. When the third generation was introduced in 2002, it was the first of a more distinctive lineup of cars that is closer to the mid-size sedan customers are used to today. The Altima then evolved in 2007 as an alternative to other popular mid-size sedans, with a mild design refresh to follow in 2010. Nissan followed the trend for its next generation, launching the fifth generation in 2013 and offering a mid-year refresh in 2016.
How It Drives
The Nissan Altima is impressive. Its simple controls ensure the driving experience is both rewarding and approachable. Its engines offer solid performance and fuel economy, and it combines a comfortable ride with coordinated handling. It also has a very nice cabin for its class, crafted with high-quality materials and spacious seats.
Used Nissan Altima Value
Even with such tight competition, the Nissan Altima is one of benchmarks for the mid-size family sedan. It provides a dynamic drive with luxurious comfort, style, fuel efficiency, and performance. The Altima is a highly-competent family commuter that typically competes against other family sedans.
Nissan Altima Standard Features
Current Nissan Altimas are built with options between a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and a 3.5L V6 engine. While not capable of breaking any speed records, both engines still deliver solid performance with the V6 inching out over the four-cylinder in terms of acceleration. As a tradeoff, the four-cylinder excels in fuel efficiency rather than performance. Front-wheel drive is standard on all Nissan Altima vehicles.
