I LOVE this car! I have driven other Porsches, including the boxster which is the other midengine model, and this Cayman S rocks! Cayman S outperforms all the other models, in my opinion, except for the 911 turbo models (where power prevails over handling).
The Cayman S has good head room and a modern style dash (vs. the Carrera models that still use a rectangle a/c vent system). I would definitely recommend this car for the 2 seater enthusiast! And yes, like the other reviewers said, there is a premium to owning one of these (routine services and repairs may cost a lot higher than Japanese 2 seaters), but if you can swing it then you will be greatly rewarded!
CARMAX IS THE BEST!

I recently purchased my Porsche Caymen from Carmax, and have purchased from Carmax before--excellent! This time proved another winner. I love my car, and it is valued much higher than the price I paid. Best--was the 30 day warranty. My car had no real issues, but did need to be aligned and a couple of rattles taken care of. Carmax did this, had my car taken care of by a local Porsche dealer...to the tune of over $1,400--included placing 2 new tires on car. CarMax stands by their promise--and delivers. As for my car---it is WONDERFUL!!!!
Very happy with car and buying experience

Beautiful automobile and exactly what you would expect. The car is not blazing fast off the line, however you know that buying a 2.7 liter. Once up to speed, it just keeps going and going. It cruises at 80mph at @ 2,900 rpm's. The sound is terrific also.
Interior finish is very well done and includes the Bose sound system.
