WOW!!!!!! I love my Saturn Aura. I have owned Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, Nissans and wasn't sure about the Saturn Aura. Well, I started doing some research and realized that the Aura was getting rave reviews, so I had to check it out (since I was a skeptic)....I sat in one and just felt really good. Took it for a ride, and was very smooth. The bells and whistles amazing. I have never felt so comfortable, then I have in my Aura. I have been getting alot of looks as well and compliments on my car. Someone asked what kind of car it was and I said Saturn Aura and they just couldn't believe it. I love the fact I have OnStar. Very worth and it and already used it once for directions. I could go on and on, but in summary a great vehicle, safe, good looking, reliable, tons of bells and whistles that you would have to pay out the ying yang to get on import, and just darn fun to drive. If you are looking at getting a Saturn Aura, great choice...you will like!!
Poor Quality, Think Twice Before You Buy!!!
2007 Saturn AuraATL Marlon - Atlanta08/22/2010
If you enjoy being annoyed by rattling, vibrations and other noises, then this is the vehicle for you. The noises aren't noticeable while playing the radio but once you mute the volume all the noises come alive. The engine is extremely noisy, the suspension system rattles loudly when going over speed bumps and small cracks in the pavement at park lot speeds.
This vehicle also has serious transmission issues. Eight days after purchasing my 2007 Saturn Aura XR with only 36,000 miles, it had to undergo a major transmission repair. The entire transmission had to be rebuilt due to poor quality parts and a faulty sensor. One would expect better quality and performance from a low mileage vehicle, this is not the case with GM's Saturn Aura XR sedan.
I only have 2 positive comments about this vehicle, it looks great and rides nicely on the highway. The vehicle is very attractive and has a nice style to it. But looks aren't everything, especially when quality was sacrificed. The car has a very smooth ride once you're out on the open road, where the presence of speed bumps aren't an issue. The vehicle handles well and accelerates very quickly. If you are an aggressive driver with a lead foot, it'll cost you at the pump because this vehicle has very poor fuel economy. The gas mileage can be compared to that of an SUV or Truck.
So, if you are looking for a vehicle built with poor quality, makes constant rattling noises, POOR fuel economy and transmission issues, then this is the vehicle for you. However, I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone who's considering it for their next purchase. This is my 2nd Saturn Aura XR in less than a 2 month time span, the 1st vehicle was returned for similar issues. I was certain that my luck would be better with the second vehicle, unfortunately, the second vehicle performs even worst. I believe this is a poorly built product from GM, I have no faith in this vehicle at all.
The car is decent. With that being said, it seemed like a lot of stuff went wrong after the 30 day warranty expired. My hubcaps keep falling off, my windshield washers don't work, and I'm leaking power steering fluid. Also the drivers side tie rods will not pass inspection. I think you have to take a mechanic to buy any car, which I didn't so it's on me.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
