it’s like driving a street legal go cart. it’s always so much fun to drive and I look forward to every drive

to be such a fun and sporty car it still gets great gas mileage

Cargo Space
not the best for space. no glove box for interior storage and only enough room in the trunk for a couple overnight bags
Cabin Noise
it’s a convertible so it’s definitely got a lot of wind noise. but you don’t buy a Miata for a quiet cabin
Technology and Entertainment
really surprised and disappointed that it doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or a back up camera. The car is small, so a backup camera is not the end of the world. But really disappointed with no Apple CarPlay.

Reliable but expensive to maintain
PROS
Power
Press the accelerator and you go! Quickly! Great exhaust growl and turbo whistle. Very comfortable for the driver and front seat passenger.
Reliability
Rock solid reliability (once the factory plastic charge pipe is replaced with an aftermarket metal version.)
Technology and Entertainment
Easy (albeit expensive) to upgrade the head unit to include wireless Carplay and Android auto. Long press the multimedia button if you have installed an MMI unit, and the Carplay or AA menu pops up. I added an MMI prime unit to mine (totally hidden until the user long presses the media button) and then the options appear for AA, Carplay, and adding a front-mounted camera (which I didn't do.)
CONS
Cost to Maintain
Routine maintenance is very expensive but necessary to ensure reliability. Strive for a square (not staggered) wheel setup. Square means you can rotate the tires properly. Staggered means side to side only, cutting your tire warranty in half. Factory wheels are prone to cracks - consider upgrading to aftermarket wheels.
Interior Space
rear seats are a designed for legless midgets unless the front passengers pull the seats far forward. Best used as a shelf and use a wind screen. The trunk, however, has reasonable space with the top lowered or raised.
Technology and Entertainment
Limited to factory navigation and radio functions without upgrading to an MMI unit. Once 3G was eliminated, the factory modem and connected services became non-functional.
