terrible gas mileage. I upgraded from a honda fit because I needed more space to haul around my booth (I am an artists who does a lot of craft shows and needed a vehicle that could handle the weight) I expected the mileage to be close to the sticker (22city/27hwy) and seriously, total lies. I drive "highway" often, but the only time I saw 27 mpg was on a road trip (1400+ miles). I was regretting not getting the VW tdi diesel wagon, but now that VW was exposed for fraud regarding emissions, I am only moderately ok with choosing the subaru.
Exactly the car I need
2015 Subaru ForesterJulie H - Pasadena, MD01/30/2017
This car has very well thought out features. Everything that is really needed is there and it is in easy reach. The seat is comfortable and the drive is stable (not too bumpy). I love the height of it. Getting in and out of the car as well as loading groceries in the back is great. I like sitting a little higher for driving visibility and I feel safer. The dashboard indicators are a little sparse (bare minimum). I don't like how hard it is to see how fast I'm going (this should be digital or easier to see quickly on the dashboard). Overall, I wouldn't trade this car for anything.

Great handle for a 4 cylinder hatchback. It's got a great pick up speed thanks to the steering wheel shifter. I love the amount of ground clearance I get with this car. It feels like you're getting the mpg of a car on a small SUV. I feel safe with my daughter in the car. My only recommendation is to get a higher trim. The base model seat is ok but not as comfortable for long trips and XM radio doesn't come with base model, you'll have to purchase an external antenna and XM module and wore it throughout the car. However I'm surprise the base model comes with heated seats. I purchase a blind spot mirrors and attached it to my side view mirror as the side mirrors are so small and the back window is block by the headrest.
