2011 Subaru ForesterR Mccown - salt lake city, UT10/23/2015
Before this forester i owned an 02 forester for 13 years. A forester is the only option this time also. Subaru Forester was the first to voluntarily install side air bags. To me that is a company committed to safety. Subaru's get the highest 5 star crash rating in govt testing, reliability is high, goes in the snow and any conditions safest care to own and drive. I'm an ex defensive driving instructor and safety and reliability is important to me. I dont like the 13's and newer models as they raised the height and hence center of gravity and dont hold the road as well and why i got an 11.
Exactly the car I need
2015 Subaru ForesterJulie H - Pasadena, MD01/30/2017
This car has very well thought out features. Everything that is really needed is there and it is in easy reach. The seat is comfortable and the drive is stable (not too bumpy). I love the height of it. Getting in and out of the car as well as loading groceries in the back is great. I like sitting a little higher for driving visibility and I feel safer. The dashboard indicators are a little sparse (bare minimum). I don't like how hard it is to see how fast I'm going (this should be digital or easier to see quickly on the dashboard). Overall, I wouldn't trade this car for anything.
Decent Car At Decent Price
2014 Subaru ForesterStella Swartz - Colorado Springs, CO11/27/2017
This car burns oil. I have had to replace about 1 quart of oil every 1-2 months since purchasing. After some digging, it turns out this year/make/model is notorious for this issue, yet there are not any recalls in place to fix the issue. I would recommend going with another year of this model to avoid the same issue.
This vehicle also does not get the fuel mileage that is stated in the vehicle details. I drive all highway miles and average 27 miles per gallon, not the stated 32.
