I'm an older retired guy that's a very careful driver. I've never felt better or safer than with this car. Even like it better then Lincoln Town Car I had.
Drives great, so comfy and SO many gadgets to play with.
Plenty of power, good gas mileage. 17.455 for all in town short trips. 27 highway. So proud to own.
The Subaru Forester XT version has a LOT more pep and responsiveness than the 2.5 litre engined Forester. Gas mileage suffers a little (we are currently getting between 24 and 28 highway and 20-24 in town) but the additional acceleration more than makes up for that. I like the AWD and the option to "manually" shift the car, and the S1 and S# gearing and suspension adjustment for windy roads or snow or rain. If you are really in the snow, you can select XMode which is like a four wheel drive mode for up to 25 miles per hour (it automatically drops out of Xmode above 24 MPH). Real leather seats. Nice stitching. Well appointed with dual air and heat. Heated front seats. HUGE sunroof with windbreak at front. Handles wonderfully.
Safe and happy in NC

It is easy to drive, great window viewing, and wonderful for groceries in the back, etc. It is perfect for taking to the beach. It is a very solid and well build vehicle which makes it exceptionally safe to drive. I will always have a Subaru Forester in my life!
