The body-on-frame chassis allows for the truck like ride. If you're looking for the crossover/car-like ride, this is not your beast. This is for driving to work during the week and getting dirty on the weekends; or both. The redesigned grill gives the SR5 a sinister look that turns quite a few heads. Rugged lines stay true to the previous 4 generations, keeping the original 4Runner look there. The power back window is still one of the coolest concepts and separates the 4Runner from it's competitors. The interior is spacious. I recently drove across country and back and did not feel cramped in any way. My only gripe with the entire truck is the touch screen entertainment/navigation.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) The 4Runner is an incredibly reliable car, comfortable ride and it will last a long time. I bought this car because I needed something bigger to tow my boat and it tows my 19' powerboat with no problems at all. It has a 5,000lb tow capacity and I'm well below that so no worries. It's a great car, the limited edition has more technology than some newer models. These things hold their value and you will own it for years. Great purchase.

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.308 reviews) This SUV is so much fun to drive! I love the big engine sound when it starts and you sit up high and have good visibility. It does handle like a truck but that's exactly what I like about it. It is not boring! Sometimes I just like to drive without having anywhere to go because it is so nice to drive. This is my third SUV and first 4 runner and while I liked my other SUVs I never enjoyed driving like I do now. I am a 55 year old housewife and my husband would have let me buy whatever I wanted but this was the one for me.

About the Toyota 4Runner SR5

Vehicle Summary

With its handsome looks and go-anywhere capability, the Toyota 4Runner SR5 is a solid choice if you need a rugged yet sensible SUV. As one of the few still sporting body-on-frame construction, it’s also the ideal vehicle for most off-road excursions. You’ll definitely appreciate the standard skid plates when dealing with rough terrain. The comfortable interior seats five adults, but the available third-row seat pushes the seating capacity to seven. Large, well-placed controls also make the interior glove-friendly. The 4.0L V6 puts its 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque to good use while features like Multi-terrain Select and Crawl Control give you greater control on rough terrain. Consider the Toyota 4Runner SR5 if you need a capable SUV for family-hauling duties or a vehicle that can handle weekend camping trips and off-road excursions.

Reviews for Toyota 4Runner

Overall Rating

4.7 out of 5(314 reviews)

4 out of 5 stars, above decent.

Bought this for my wife. Interior of the limited editions is very nice. We have the 4 wheel drive version with hydraulic shocks, considering it is a 4 wheel drive, the ride is extremely smooth. However, the steering is completely numb and somewhat floaty. The engine seems somewhat underpowered for the vehicle, but the 4 cylinder version is horrendous. All and all we're pretty satisfied with the vehicle. Gas mileage could be better. We get between 20 and 22 highway, have gotten 23 drafting an 18 wheeler. Don't drive much in the city but i guess it would be around 16-17. The "Eco" mode/indicator is really pointless.

Toyota Just Makes Great Cars!

This is the 5th Toyota that I have owned. I still have three of them. This is the first 4 Runner. So far, it's been a great car. All of the others have been 4WD Pickups. I have a 1994 with 240 miles on it and it still runs great.

4Runner Review

I love my 4Runner, it has plenty of room for people and cargo. We have taken several short trips and the ride is very comfortable!
