This SUV is so much fun to drive! I love the big engine sound when it starts and you sit up high and have good visibility. It does handle like a truck but that's exactly what I like about it. It is not boring! Sometimes I just like to drive without having anywhere to go because it is so nice to drive. This is my third SUV and first 4 runner and while I liked my other SUVs I never enjoyed driving like I do now. I am a 55 year old housewife and my husband would have let me buy whatever I wanted but this was the one for me.

I used to have a 2000 4Runner SR5, and then my wife got a new car because of the upcoming newborn we had, so needed to upgrade from a mini cooper. She got a CRV and I got jealous, so we bought 2 cars and I got an 07 4Runner SR5 4x4. Always wanted one and I finally got one. I love it! Runs great, but does drink a lot of gas. It's a bit bigger than my old 4Runner, feels smoother and the engine is much stronger and bigger. I got the 4.0 V6, couldn't imagine and justify paying fuel for a V8 these days.
Its a great car, safe, fun and fully dependable of course... its a Toyota...

This is one of the true remaining SUVs out there. The body-on-frame chassis allows for the truck like ride. If you're looking for the crossover/car-like ride, this is not your beast. This is for driving to work during the week and getting dirty on the weekends; or both.
The redesigned grill gives the SR5 a sinister look that turns quite a few heads. Rugged lines stay true to the previous 4 generations, keeping the original 4Runner look there. The power back window is still one of the coolest concepts and separates the 4Runner from it's competitors.
The interior is spacious. I recently drove across country and back and did not feel cramped in any way. My only gripe with the entire truck is the touch screen entertainment/navigation.
