What customers are saying

The 2021 Toyota C-HR offers stylish design, excellent fuel economy, and strong reliability. Customers appreciated its handling and modern features like Apple CarPlay. Downsides include limited power, smaller cargo capacity, and some cabin noise. Its sporty look and economical maintenance make it a solid urban vehicle despite minor trade-offs in space and acceleration.

I have absolutely no regrets!

PROS
Reliability

First off, you can’t go wrong with a Toyota! From the interior design, to the amount of trunk space I have, I still take a min sometime and just look at it like “that’s MY car”

Fuel Economy

So far, mainly just city mileage, I average about 31 miles to the gallon. And with gas prices being so high, that’s a HUGE relief to not have to worry about

Technology and Entertainment

Whether you want to do CarPlay (corded) or Bluetooth you have different options and the speakers are pretty decent!

CONS
Interior Space

Everyone said this was a negative, and after purchasing the car I do see what they’re talking about. Fortunately, I have two toddlers so needing more room in the back seat isn’t a big deal right now.

Love the car! Has a couple downsides

PROS
Reliability

Considering it’s a Toyota, I know I’m going to get some great mileage out of it with very little maintenance.

Value

I feel like I got a really reliable, versatile car for the price I paid for it. More spacious and stylish than a sedan style car.

Fuel Economy

Since it has a 4 cylinder, it has awesome MPG for a crossover. On long drives, it gets around 35MPG which is great for the fact that it is slightly larger. City driving still sees a respectable 28-30 MPG

CONS
Technology and Entertainment

The Apple CarPlay in this car is starting to show some issues. It is an earlier model, so there is still a USB A connection for the CarPlay, connectivity has some issues from my iPhone16. The screen is also a little lagging for a 2021. I’ve only had this vehicle for 3 months and have had issues with plugging the USB in the port and getting the infotainment system to respond or connect at times.

Power

On the flip side, it being a 4 cylinder, it doesn’t have a lot of horsepower for the increase in weight you’re carrying (versus a Corolla). Though the MPG can be good on steady drives, the torque on this car leaves much to be desired. I never drive my cars really hard, but this one seems to need it from 0-45 MPH.

Dashboard

Requires a lot of flipping through menus while driving to get other types of information or switch between Eco, Normal, or Sport modes

love this car!

PROS
Reliability

This is my 2nd Ch-r and I absolutely love this car. My first one was a 2019. I traded it in and missed it so much that I had to find another one. I love the way it looks, drives, and the fact that it’s a Toyota makes me confident in its reliability. I wish Toyota kept making them. I will never get rid of this car. I love it.
