Although this car was 5 years old when I purchased it, it had less than 30,000 miles and looked and drove like brand new. It is by far the nicest car I have ever owned; some people have their Cadillacs or Mercedes, I have my Toyota. It's a good thing it has cruise control because it rides so smooth down the highway you can hit 90 without realizing it. I had it in for an oil change and the guys in the shop told me you can't go wrong with a Highlander. It is really quiet, smooth riding, and actually gets great gas mileage for a vehicle its size (around 24 MPG city/freeway). The second row seats are incredibly roomy even for a full grown adult. The quality interior looks classy and has no annoying rattles or squeaks.
Could be a great car but has some nagging issues

The Bluetooth phone connectivity is *only* for the phone, not for music, which is ridiculous. Also, the Navigation system does not keep the perspective as the front of the car, meaning that the map doesn't rotate as you turn, the pointer that represents your car turns, and the top of the screen is always north (eve if you are traveling south).
Nice Family Car

This car has so many nice features. They far outweigh the things I don't like about the car. It rides really nice, seats 6 adults comfortably, has a nice amount of storage space, and has great upgrades. The purchase price was a little higher than I would have liked, but is still within a manageable range. My parents are still driving their 2003 Highlander, so I'm hopeful this one will have an equally as long lifetime.
