Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) 7th CARMAX vehicle for our family. The day after buying this car, my wife and I left on a 1,200 mile driving vacation. We made the same trip last year in our 2006 Lexus LX470. There was no comparison between the two. The Land Cruiser has a smoother ride, steers easier, gets much better gas mileage, and has a lot more storage space. We had to drive through mountains during the trip and the Land Cruiser managed almost the entire trip in high gear. The Lexus consistently had to drop down 1 or 2 gears for the same grades. The performance of this vehicle has been flawless and we will probably pass it on to our grandson when he starts driving (and get another for ourselves). The sales and service staff in Knoxville did their normal outstanding job.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) There's a reason the Land Cruiser is the vehicle of choice in the most inhospitable places on the planet. It can cover any terrain you'll encounter. I've driven out of my unplowed driveway after 20+ inches of snow. They very rarely break but when they do parts for the LC, like all Toyotas, can be very high. Mine has 110K and other than tires, brakes and oil changes I have spent less than $700 for repairs in 7 years of ownership. Ride is quiet and smooth on highways, a little bumpy on broken pavement. You sit very high with a good view of traffic. Seats are comfortable on long rides. Mileage is terrible as you'd expect. Premium fuel is recommended although I use mid-grade with no apparent problems.
