Obvious hybrid fuel economy is a definite plus. I was surprised at the power, can go from 75 to 100 to pass long lines of cars without much effort at all. I'm a big truck country kinda guy, and have always hated the Prius out of principle. After driving one for a year while commuting 500 mi a week, I really don't have anything bad to say about it, except the braking. Due to the varying friction from the charging mechanism, your brake pedal pressure will never be consistent and smooth braking is almost impossible, with slow braking to, say a stop light. Hard, emergent braking is unaffected.

Dependability. Periodic ordinary maintenance, that's it.
Brakes lasted well over 100,000 on my '02, so did the plugs.
Quiet, smooth, and I am getting 55 mpg with my '11 Prius. Exceptional rear seat legroom and overall comfort. My '02 will still be on the road, except it was clobbered and totalled. I had 164k on it, and no question it would have made 250k. ore more. Only needed a waterpump after 150k. Amazing performance by A/C even after 15 years on the road, didn't burn a drop of oil, engine was very peppy for a 1.4 liter, and 50+ MPG was easy to attain. Drove cross country 4 times with no issues whatsoever, and it cruised smoothly at 70-80 MPH. At those speeds, mpg was 40-45, which I still considered outstanding. We have a '13 also.

The Prius is an agile and comfortable car with extraordinary fuel economy. I get around 45-50mg. I drive it daily to and from work. an almost 60 mile commute. The oil changes are a little more expensive than a conventional car. I found them at between $45-$120 per change. I believe that the car could use a bigger fuel tank, though. And, It's a little loud in the cabin. Other, than that. I really love the car.
