2021 Toyota Prius
Great car but hugely overwhelming!

The gas mileage is phenomenal on the Prius! The driving is smooth and effortless. I was overwhelmed with the amount of things the Prius can do, but instead of trying to read through the entire Driver's Manual, I read the parts I needed RIGHT THEN, and that made it much easier!

PROS
Fuel Economy

It works so easily! The gas mileage is fantastic! It's easy to maneuver.

Reliability

This is one of the main reasons I bought a new car! Every time I get in the car, it starts right up and I can depend on it!

CONS
Technology and Entertainment

The ONLY con is that when you unlock the front driver's door, the others don't unlock at the same time. You have to go back in and physically press the "Open Door" button on the front door. (That's if you aren't holding the key fob in your hand, which I rarely do.)

What I wanted at a payment I can afford!

I find the Prius to be a fun to drive economical car. Mine has power everything with keyless entry and operation. Sound system is good. LOTS of rear storage space! I did notice the front door windows rattled badly when slightly open. I was able to fix this on my own placing some extra weather stripping as padding.

PROS
Fuel Economy

The hybrid engine runs in electric mode when it can saving fuel.

Reliability

I've had absolutely no mechanical issues at all.

CONS
Cabin Noise

The windows rattled, but I fixed it.

Gas mileage champion!!

We bought this Prius because my commute is an hour each way in stop and go traffic. I was getting 26mpg in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra and filling up 3 times per week. Now I fill up every 8 or 9 days and average 49mpg!! And I still drive with a pretty heavy foot! The fit and finish is very high quality and our leatherette seats are very comfortable. I have a bad back and have used lumbar pillows for years. However, the built in lumbar support on the Prius 4 is wonderful and I no longer need my pillow! It is very roomy and comfortable for long trips, too.

PROS
Fuel Economy

49mpg

Seat Comfort

Great back support!

Reliability

I've heard they routinely go over 100k with little maintenance.

CONS
Power

Not the most powerful, and the gas engine screams when you push it.

Visibility

Lots of blind spots.
