The 2021 Toyota Prius offers exceptional fuel economy and ample cargo space, making it ideal for daily commutes and road trips. Customers appreciate its smooth ride and reliability but cite cabin noise and rear visibility as drawbacks. Advanced tech features mostly satisfy but are occasionally cumbersome. Overall, buyers find it a dependable and efficient car choice.
Most cars will go about 400 miles before a fill-up based on tank size. My Prius can go over 600 miles based on my average mileage and tank size. Going into town ( New Braunfels)is downhill and mileage is in the 60-75 range. Coming back home uphill it drops to high 50's to mid 60's.
It handles much like the old MG TD's and B models only lighter and quicker steering, I like the stiffness in the suspension and the white line warning.
The seat is comfortable but I'd like to sit about 2" higher, even though I am 6" tall. There is plenty of head room for this. As I am 88 years old, getting in and out requires planning.
Holding a conversation or listening to music takes a lot of volume. Lots of tire noise for most road surfaces, HATE the back-up beep!!I hate extended belt warning. 5 beeps is enough
Because of the low {somewhat} power, I have to keep close attention to the speedometer and gas pedal pressure, Also the engine comes on when I think the motor is sufficient (in town driving)
The split rear window does not give me good rear vision. I may pull the head rests from the back seats. The back up camera gets blurry in rainy weather. Needs some kind of covering for this. Right section of the dashboard needs to be further left or larger letters. Ex: I have to look hard (too long) to see the D or B on the shift in daylight.
Good back support. Also, I’m short and, with a pillow to sit on I can see very well in all directions.
It helps me to feel relaxed while driving and doesn’t interfere with the sound quality of music.
I can carry things I need, like cloth shopping bags and a shovel and window scraper in winter, and still have plenty of room for a week’s worth of groceries, or several suitcases, or a guitar and other musical gear.
I’d better rear visibility.
I get 70 mpg all the time. I thought it was a mistake when I first started driving it!
Great hatchback fits a crazy amount of stuff.
It feels like a much bigger car from the inside.
It's a bit noisy on the highway--I often have to turn up the audio to compensate.
A little odd rear window visibility with the hatchback and no wiper either.
I could use some lumbar support, although a pillow does the trick.
