Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) When at the red light people behind you sees that you are driving a Prius and moves to your right to over take you ( thinking that you are driving a slow accelerating car ), what you do is easy, push on your pwr mode button and watch how big their eyes get on your rear mirror when the light turns green. Other times, I love to see avg consumption around 60 mpg which she never disappoints me.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) This is our second Prius and it's even better then the first. Everyone knows about it's good MPG, but that's really a small part of why this is a great car. It rides and drives well and have NO mechanical issues. Our first Prius had over 200,000 mile when it got slammed into my some nut case. Otherwise we would still be driving it. No Battery or any other issues. Like I said. A great car all around.

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.429 reviews) I owned a hand-me-down 2005 Prius (first generation) for years and never had any problems with it. Shame on me for not doing sufficient research into the differences between the first and second generation Prii. It is a COMPLETELY different car. Do EXTENSIVE test drives with this car on several types of surfaces. The visibility in this car is so bad it feels unsafe: major blindspots. Virtually non-existent suspension; hits every bump like it was a pothole. Rattles like crazy, especially on rough road and at high speeds. Cheap plastic interior components. Poor turning radius. Deafening road noise. Worst of all, it gets nowhere near the gas mileage they claim; I have never gotten more than 40/45 miles on the highway, and never broken 30 city.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.429 reviews) Love this car. It drives smooth and fantastic on gas. Going from $65.00 a week in gas in my old car to $18.00 average is a real plus. Love Sirius radio too. Only thing I don't care for is the nav system. Hard to see streets in white lettering against grey background. Not easy to use either.

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.733 reviews) I commute 160 miles a day to work and run errands so of course my decision to purchase was based primarily on economy (best highway mileage in its class). After 3 months and 16,000 miles I'm now impressed with all the other features that make this car a great value. Styling, comfort, handling, and of course the MPG.

Reviews for Toyota Prius

Overall Rating

4.7 out of 5(410 reviews)

It's Economical, especially in California.

it's economical and you don't have to have it smogged every other year here in California! I have rheumatoid arthritis, and my hands are misshapen and painful, and it's the easiest car for me to drive! I don't have to turn a key in the ignition; with the smart key, I just push a button on the dashboard to start it, and I open the locked driver's door by putting my hand into the handle. It is complex and expensive to maintain.

Pleasantly surprised

Obvious hybrid fuel economy is a definite plus. I was surprised at the power, can go from 75 to 100 to pass long lines of cars without much effort at all. I'm a big truck country kinda guy, and have always hated the Prius out of principle. After driving one for a year while commuting 500 mi a week, I really don't have anything bad to say about it, except the braking. Due to the varying friction from the charging mechanism, your brake pedal pressure will never be consistent and smooth braking is almost impossible, with slow braking to, say a stop light. Hard, emergent braking is unaffected.

Best Car I Ever Bought

Aside from the great gas mileage, there are more reasons to buy this car: 1: it's deceivingly roomy! I have long legs and so my seat goes all the way back. There is still plenty of leg room for a grown adult in the back. And all the seats are very comfortable. 2: the back storage area is very large - I can put all of my work tools and cases back there without sacrificing any passenger room. As I said earlier, these cars are deceptively roomy inside. 3: the electronics in this car are top notch. In my opinion, no other car maker does blue tooth systems better than Toyota. My iPhone works flawlessly in this car. Best car I ever bought.
