Everyone knows about it's good MPG, but that's really a small part of why this is a great car. It rides and drives well and have NO mechanical issues. Our first Prius had over 200,000 mile when it got slammed into my some nut case. Otherwise we would still be driving it. No Battery or any other issues. Like I said. A great car all around.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) Obvious hybrid fuel economy is a definite plus. I was surprised at the power, can go from 75 to 100 to pass long lines of cars without much effort at all. I'm a big truck country kinda guy, and have always hated the Prius out of principle. After driving one for a year while commuting 500 mi a week, I really don't have anything bad to say about it, except the braking. Due to the varying friction from the charging mechanism, your brake pedal pressure will never be consistent and smooth braking is almost impossible, with slow braking to, say a stop light. Hard, emergent braking is unaffected.

I have always owned SUVs in the past because I am very tall and hate having to hunch over or lay all the way back with my knees in my chest like in most cars. But the Prius is shockingly comfortable. My boyfriend (who is 6'4) and I did a 10 hour road trip the first month I had this car and we were amazed not only at the gas mileage, but at how well the car held up through a freak snowstorm, rain, and driving over the mountains, all while being super comfortable. I never thought I would say it, but I honestly love my little Prius.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.757 reviews) At first I grew tired of the inflating gas prices. A lifelong American truck owner, I finally traded in the Chevy for the economical Toyota Prius. What I found after the first week of driving surprised me. This vehicle is actually fun to drive. It's easy to find yourself glancing at the MPG rating and energy monitor that exists on the in dash monitor, challenging yourself each time to improve the mileage. It becomes less about the money you spend on gas, and more on changing the way you drive without realizing you are in fact doing it. Perhaps the biggest compliment to this vehicle however is not from me. I wanted to own a Prius. My wife however has been an SUV and sportscar woman. 3 row seating and "lines". Now, after 2 months, she takes the Prius to work. Not because of fuel economy but because she finds the challenge of beating my MPG ratings enjoyable and fun. The Prius truly is a vehicle that should be considered by anyone looking for both fuel economy and fun. You don't have to give up the "fun" part of driving just to put money back in your wallet...but how great it is knowing that each time you fill up the 11 gallon tank...you set your sites on beating the last mark. My personal best is 537 miles on one tank. My wife is getting close to beating that. Yes, I would recommend the Toyota Prius to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

The 2010 Toyota Prius

I purchased this car as a replacement for another that was totaled in a fire. I was interested in a Hybrid both for fuel efficiency (cost) and as a step towards reducing greenhouse emissions and dependency on fossil fuels. I bought just prior (a week or so) to all the news about runaway acceleration, braking problems, and so on that are now plaguing Toyota (and apparently other manufacturers, as well). To date, I have had no problems whatsoever with the car, and I don't really anticipate any. Mileage has been great, it is lovely to fill the tank only 1-2 times per month (unlike previously when it was 2-3 times per week at 31 mpg) despite commuting a long distance and lots of driving in general (a mix of highway and local). The interior of the car is well laid out and nicely appointed. My only negative comments is that I am a fairly large person - well, to be fair, I am really overweight/obese - and I find that the new console where the shift lever sits in the Prius is a little close for comfort, but other than that, i am perfectly happy with the car. I doubt that most people would feel the same way I do about the console. I do find the location of the shift lever to still not be intuitive - I first reach elsewhere, then remember to look for it, still. I found the split rear window a bit disconcerting at first, but have gotten used to it. I did not get the backup camera; that might have been worthwhile to avoid the issue with the split rear window, but it is not necessary, and now I don't think I would use it if it were installed. I think that the external appearance of the car is perfectly acceptable. Overall, I like the car, I like driving it, and it runs well. I would recommend it.

Amazing

My wife thought the car was to small until she sat in it, now she will not let me drive the car she loves the gas mileage and as for the gear shift this has become her new toy. Great great car and awesome mileage, I would honestly recommend this car.
