The Sienna minivan is awesome. It is spacious, comfortable, and once i'm inside, i just want to keep driving. Gas mileage average is only 19.2 (mixed driving), but for the power, spaciousness, and comfort; can't complain. The only thing i've had to adjust to is the handling. A little on the soft side on winding roads but then again it is a minivan and not meant to toss your belongings, kids, and dogs around. Wish it had conering lights, missed those from my old van whenever making a turn at night. Overall, this van is so enjoyable to drive.
Sienna works well for us

When our 2005 Sienna XLE Limited All Wheel Drive was totaled in an accident after a young driver ran a red light at a high speed, we were very impressed with the safety features of the van. Of course we never expected to need those features but we sure we glad to know how safe the car was when needed. My husband was driving, alone in the car, and he walked away without a scratch. Our insurance agent, upon the review of our file, commented on how the Sienna is considered one of few safest cars on the road; her comment was that people always walk away from an accident in this vehicle.
The same week as the accident we purchased an identical car (2005) since we experienced how it handled the worst of situations. Along with the safety features, we love the smooth ride of the Lexus suspension, the attention to detail with regards to ergonomics, storage, flexibility of seat positions, and finishing touches. The All Wheel Drive handling of the vehicle in snow and ice, and climbing mountainous roads is comparable to any Four Wheel Drive passenger vehicle out there - never have we gotten stuck, while other minivans could not make the climb through the snow. Storage in the interior is flexible as the seats can be rearranged in various ways. This model seats 7 passengers and has held 7 adults at one time. For children we find the flexibility of seating arrangements for all ages accommodating- especially when transporting friends in different age ranges. Our current van has a DVD system in it and we find it very easy to use; it allows the driver to listen radio while the DVD player entertains the second and third rows. For our life style this has been the perfect vehicle.

Gas mileage is brutal. I don't think it's just Volkswagon who is goosing it's mileage and effieciency rates. It's all of them. We get 21 - 22 MPG on the highway, less than 18 in the city.
