Customer Review Summary for Toyota Tacoma
Great truck for all around use.
2010 Toyota TacomaB - Crofton, MD07/12/2014
Trucks are expensive relative to cars. For a bare bones truck, this 2WD Tacoma has great performance in my opinion. If I could have afforded it though, I would have bought the extended cab version of this truck but they are significantly more expensive so I settled for the regular cab version. I commute almost 100 miles a day in this truck so the regular cab does just fine and probably gets better mpg than an extended cab would. Sure does come in handy for moving furniture etc. instead of having to rent a U-haul.
Econobox at a luxury price
2016 Toyota TacomaMark CarGuy - Laurel, MD05/17/2016
The transmission shifts gears constantly, and the droning engine noise is irritating and makes it sound like an econo-box. I think this truck would almost be tolerable with a manual transmission, but the auto tranny and engine noise are major turn offs.

I don't need to recommend this vehicle; it speaks for itself.
However; do not by a car from Kearney Mesa Carmax unless you are, or know some one who is, mechanically inclined. I had one problem with the sales persons lack of knowledge which left me with a spare tire four years older than the truck. Regardless, I bought the truck and am very happy with it; just not that happy with the overall service I received because of their lack of knowledge.
