Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) It's built like a tank, handles surprisingly well for a large truck, and the way the cab is set up around the driver is really smart. I really like the way the seats in back fold up to make more room for stuff. I would definitely recommend this Truck to someone who's looking for a large truck.

Pretty Good Truck

I owned a 2008 Tudra CrewMax. It was a "pretty good" truck. It was the first "Foreign" car I had ever owned. Initially it was all I wanted in a truck and more. After living with it for 21 months, the flaws started to appear. While looking tough, you start to realize that the sheetmetal is thin and the paint is really fragile, but I understand this is pretty much a standard across the auto industry since they have to use water based paints now. The tailgate always felt like it was too light weight. I was afraid to sit on it as the owner groups on the internet all have picture and tell horror stories about the tailgate splitting along the seams. By all reports Toyota fixed this, but it still felt a little flimsy to me. I definitely would be scared to death to use ramps to drive a 4 wheeler or something up in the back. And the "bed wiggle and bounce" going down an even remotely rough road was not what I would have expected from a truck of this amount of $$$. It made it look like the frame wa really "flexible" back there. I had to have the radio replaced three times before they could get one that would not quit working. Like I said, it was a "pretty good" truck and while I would not rule out buying aother one in the future if my needs required a pick-up truck, I would seriously consider a Ford too.
