Very sporty car, it can easily hang with any BMW in this town. Plus I feel super safe on L.A. freeways. Excellant value with lots of class.

The Volvo S60 R is a great bang for the buck car. I have owned a 2004 and now a 2007. The seats are fantastic. The interior while not as flashy as say an Acura is laid out well. Has plenty of pull on the highway. And when combined with winter tires there isn't much weather that can slow the AWD down.
Some of the down sides of the car.
The trunk isn't small per say its just laid out weird and it prevents you from getting large items into it. The back seats can be cramped for adults. There is no such thing as a U turn in this car it has a huge turning radius which sometimes can make driving in tight situations difficult.
18" rims are extremely fragile and easily bent. Our 04 went through 4 of them. Our 07 has the 17" rims and so far so good with them. The 4C suspension system can cause the back end to hop out when driving over bumps at high speed.
If your thinking of buying a used one make sure you do your homework on that car. You would want to make sure it has been taken care of. Some of the common mechanical failures on this car are the angle gear (about $3000) to replace, leaky struts and shocks at a cost of $1000 per corner.
You will definitely want some sort of extended warranty and a repair place that is familiar with the car. There are big differences between the regular S60 and the S60 R.
Luxury cars come in all shapes and sizes, but they are all expected to look good and perform well. One advantage of buying a used luxury car is that you get the luxury look-and-feel that you want at a more affordable price.
Henry Ford once famously told customers that his Model T came in any color they wanted, so long as that color was black. That was over 100 years ago. Today, the vehicles available to us come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, with a profusion of available options and features. Whether you're shopping for a quality used vehicle, or you want to take the plunge with a new car, 2017 is a great time to see what's available.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
