2014 Audi A4 review

1. Great mpg 

This attractive luxury car comes with a lot of benefits, not least of which is great fuel economy. A cool, fun-to-drive car like the 2014 Audi A4 already has a lot going for it — it's fun to drive, sophisticated, and full of intuitive technology features. But on top of all those perks, it also achieves an EPA-estimated 26 combined mpg. That's another big tick in its favor for the majority of drivers. 

2. Sporty on the road 

The 2014 Audi A4 is swift and composed on the road. Its standard engine is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder producing 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque – more than enough power for most people. It’s also FWD as standard with a continuously variable transmission, and Audi estimates that any variation of the powertrain allows the 2014 Audi A4 to go from zero to 60 in 6.2 seconds. This allows it to feel swift and peppy whether on city streets or wide roads. 

3. Premium interior materials 

Audi never misses when it comes to the materials used inside the cabin. The 2014 Audi A4 has one of the most gorgeous interiors around, the design is sleek and refined, with soft touchpoints and a cool design throughout. Real leather upholstery and trim come as standard, which gives it an edge when it comes to luxury. It even has more space than one would expect, the backseat being roomy enough for most adults, which is unusual for a small car like this. 

4. Stronger base engine for 2014 

2014 ushered in a new base engine for the Audi A4. Now, each model comes with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder as standard, with 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s a small step up from the previous year’s base engine, which produced 211 hp, but it’s enough to mean that pulling away and accelerating are just that little bit more impressive. 

5. Easy-to-use tech 

The MMI infotainment system has long been a jewel in the crown of Audi dashboards across many models. For the 2014 Audi A4, this is partly because, instead of a touchscreen, it uses a rotary knob on the center console to find what you want, which is easier for many. The display in this vehicle is 6.5 inches and the system includes other perks like satellite radio, Bluetooth^® integration, and iPod connectivity.
