5 reasons to buy the 2018 Audi S4
1. Turbocharged engine
At the heart of the 2018 Audi S4 is a new turbocharged six-cylinder engine 3.0L with 354 hp. Strong performance is a given and the S4 gets from zero to 60 in a claimed 4.4 seconds. That’s more than enough pace for every driving situation. The eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission makes driving a more relaxed or engaging experience depending on the scenario, and its steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters give you more control.
2. Thrifty performance
One benefit of the 2018 S4’s transmission is that whenever the driving situation allows, it freewheels, disengaging the engine. This helps to conserve fuel. The transmission’s lower gears are tuned for a sporty drive, while the upper ratios are programmed to help lower engine revs for more fuel-sipping performance. The 3.0L engine's EPA-estimated fuel economy of 24 mpg combined (with 18-inch wheels) is respectable given the performance on offer.
3. Responsive handling
Audi's famous quattro® all-wheel-drive system is standard on the 2018 Audi S4 for precise and dynamic handling through high-speed corners. The 369 lb-ft of torque is distributed to both axles for improved traction, giving you extra confidence in wet and dry conditions. The Audi drive select interface has four different driving modes to make the S4 a sports sedan that will put a smile on your face. Select the available quattro sport rear differential as part of the S Sport package for near-sports-car pace, agility, and grip through the curves.
4. Interior technology
The 2018 Audi S4 has a sporty interior that will surprise and delight. The premium ambiance is confirmed by the new 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit digital display and 8.3-inch MMI® (Multi Media Interface) digital screen that is part of the Technology package, standard on Prestige trim. Whether you choose Premium Plus or Prestige trims, all S4s have a Bang and Olufsen® sound system, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, Bluetooth® mobile phone integration, and an available Wi-Fi hotspot to keep all of your passengers entertained.
5. A comfortable drive
Performance is one of the 2018 Audi S4 calling cards, but comfort is also something it excels at. The luxurious cabin helps keep wind and road noise to a minimum, and supportive front and rear seats let you and your passengers enjoy the drive, wherever you happen to be or whatever road you’re on. Up front, 41.3 inches of legroom, and 38.9 inches of headroom mean you and your passenger will be comfortable. With 35.7 inches of legroom and 37.4 inches of headroom, two adult passengers can fit into the rear, too.
