Audi S7

The second-generation Audi S7 debuted for the 2020 model year. The S7 is the performance-oriented version of the more basic A7. To deliver on that performance promise, the S7 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine rated at 444 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi's famous Quattro® all-wheel-drive system. 

Inside, the S7 gives buyers a sport-oriented luxury interior. The S7 will carry up to five adults, but rear-seat headroom is limited by the sloping Sportback roofline, so if that's a concern, the S6 sedan may be a better choice. However, when the rear seats are folded down, the S7's liftback offers near-SUV levels of cargo capacity as well as the ability to carry more bulky items. Inside the cabin, Audi delivers its usual sport-luxury experience, with comfortable and supportive seats and the latest in driver-assistance tech.

The Audi S7 debuted in 2013 as the luxury performance version of the A7. Both Audi products carried the same midsize Sportback design, combining a four-door sedan with a sloped liftback rear end to increase cargo capacity and ease of access. With the rear seats folded down, the S7 offers nearly as much cargo space as an SUV, and the large rear opening allows owners to carry bulky items such as bicycles or sporting gear. 

Under the hood, the first-generation S7 offered a powerful twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, which increased to 450 horsepower in 2016. This engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Audi's Quattro® all-wheel-drive system. The S7 also featured an adaptive air-ride suspension system that lets drivers choose a firmer setting for spirited driving or a softer setting for everyday use.
