5 reasons to buy the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD
1. Standard V8 power
Your next truck will certainly be more fun and capable with a V8 under the hood. All versions of the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD get a standard 5.3L V8 engine making a stout 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. You'll also get a standard six-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is also standard while four-wheel drive is optional.
2. Solid standard equipment
Sure, the base trim is called the "Work Truck", but that doesn't mean it's spartan on the inside. You'll find great standard equipment like air conditioning, cruise control, power door locks, and a 40/20/40-split front bench seat. You'll also get a seven-inch touchscreen with Chevrolet's MyLink® interface and Bluetooth® connectivity.
3. Towing capable
If your next weekend excursion might include a trailer or RV, take a look at the 2019 Silverado LD. Standard V8 power means it's got some impressive towing figures. With a maximum estimated capacity of 9,400 pounds, when properly equipped, it has the power to tow quite a lot of stuff for weekend fun.
Various factors may impact towing capacity, including weight of passengers, cargo, and options/accessories.
4. Sporty ZR1 package
If you're looking to get off the paved roads and out into nature, look out for a Silverado LD with the ZR1 package. It was available for the 2LT trim when equipped with 4WD. It features larger 18-inch wheels, special off-road shock absorbers, hill descent control, underbody cladding, recovery hooks, and some package-specific exterior and interior bits. Note: the Z71 Sport package sounds similar but primarily features appearance upgrades.
5. Available upgrades
If the base trims are too basic for you, look for the 1LT and 2LT trim levels. Both have cloth upholstery, but you'll get additional front seat adjustments, plus an upgraded driver information display, a larger eight-inch touchscreen, and extra USB ports. So there is likely just the right 2019 Silverado LD on our lot to fit your individual needs.
