Chevrolet FAQs

That depends on what you are looking for. If you're after a spacious SUV for adventures with family and friends, choose a Blazer or Suburban. For a workhorse with excellent pulling power, the Silverado truck is for you. And for a thrilling driving experience, look no further than the Corvette.

Yes. Chevrolet scores an overall rating of 3.5 out of 5.0 on RepairPal. The Malibu scores 4.0 out of 5.0, and the Silverado and Colorado rank within the top five in their respective categories, scoring 3.5 and 4.0 out of 5.0, respectively. Check out RepairPal to learn more.

While a lower mileage figure can be helpful to look for, it's not the only factor to consider when browsing for a used car. The car's age and maintenance history can be equally important. Want to learn more? Read our article on mileage vs maintenance here.

The Chevrolet lineup features various models, covering multiple shapes and sizes and different powertrains. There are versatile everyday SUVs like the Suburban and Tahoe, powerhouse trucks like the Silverado and Colorado, EVs like the Blazer and Bolt, and sports coupes like the Camaro and Corvette.

Several Chevrolet models have been discontinued in recent years. These include the Spark subcompact in 2023, the Camaro sports coupe in 2024, and the Malibu sedan in 2025. Thankfully, you can still find plenty of used examples of these models available at CarMax.

The flagship car in the Chevrolet range is undoubtedly the Corvette, and it's not hard to see why. The Corvette name is synonymous with eye-catching style and thrilling performance, and the C8 generation (2020-present) upholds those traditions with a variety of muscular powertrains, including the hybrid E-Ray (from 2024) and powerhouse Z06 (from 2022) and ZR1 (from 2025).

The trim levels for the Chevrolet Traverse depend on what model year you’re buying. From 2018-2020, the base trim was the L, followed by LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country. 2021-2023 dropped the L, and 2024 had LS, LT, Z71, and RS. For 2025-2026, the LT is the base trim. There's also the Z71 (the off-roader), High Country (the most luxurious), and RS (the highest spec).

Chevrolet makes a range of vehicles, including EVs, SUVs, and trucks. If you’re looking for an SUV or crossover, the Chevrolet Equinox or Trailblazer are two great models. For trucks, try the Colorado or Silverado. And for electric models, the Equinox might suit your lifestyle. Chevrolet is also known for its iconic sports cars, like the Corvette, and muscle cars like the Charger and Challenger. Try out our comparison tool to narrow down which Chevrolet is right for you.

Chevrolet’s current lineup of SUVs includes the Trax, Trailblazer, Equinox, Blazer, and Traverse. The Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban are the two large SUV models if you're looking for more space. The Equinox and the Blazer SUVs also have electric versions. Check out our Chevrolet SUV comparison to figure out which model is best for you.

Which Chevrolet has the best mileage depends on what type of car you’re looking for, as well as the model year. If you want a subcompact SUV, the Trailblazer is likely to offer the highest mpg. If you’re after an EV, the Equinox offers the longest range. You can use our comparison tool to check and compare the mpg or range of multiple cars at once.

If you’re considering a Chevrolet SUV, there are various elements to consider. To make it easy for you, we’ve compared these vehicles so you don’t have to. But if you want to dig deeper into what makes up a Chevrolet SUV, you can use our comparison tool to check the RepairPal® reliability rating of each one. This will tell you everything you need to know about the make and model.

Chevrolet’s current truck lineup includes the Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado, and Chevrolet Silverado HD. The Colorado trims are WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2. The Silverado HD trims are WT, Custom, LT, LTZ, ZR2, and High Country.

A used Chevrolet Colorado varies in price depending on the year and the trim. At the lower end, a Colorado can cost under $17,000. A newer, higher-spec Colorado might cost upwards of $49,000. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vs Chevrolet Silverado EV

Giving you a choice between a traditional fuel vehicle and an electric vehicle, the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Silverado EV are both capable pickup trucks. The 2026 Silverado 1500 offers a choice of three engines, including a towing-friendly 3.0L diesel that delivers an estimated 13,300 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped.

A suite of towing tech is available, including surround cameras and dynamic hitch connect guidance.

If you're looking to ditch the pump altogether, consider the Silverado EV with a 120-kWh battery, which gets up to an EPA-estimated 428 miles of range (when fully charged).

With instantly available torque, the Silverado EV makes towing up to an estimated 10,000 pounds a breeze (when properly equipped).

Both trucks are capable and feature-packed, but they let you choose between the familiarity of an internal combustion engine or the smooth driving of all-electric power.

Find out more about how these trucks compare using our comparison tool.

Chevrolet Equinox vs Chevrolet Equinox EV

Both the 2026 Chevrolet Equinox and the 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV are based on the same crossover SUV body style, delivering the practicality and functionality you need. A turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine powers the Equinox, and AWD is available for improved traction.

Inside, the Equinox includes a host of standard tech features, including driver assists, and has 29.3 cu-ft of cargo space with the rear seats up. Storage space is still a respectable 26 cu-ft in the Equinox EV.

If you're focused on range, the FWD Equinox EV delivers an EPA-estimated 319 miles per charge.

When choosing between the two, the Equinox and Equinox EV offer similar experiences, technology, features, and interior functionality.

If you’re not ready to make the jump into an EV, the Equinox is a good all-around family SUV, while the Equinox EV is an easy-to-drive introduction to electric SUVs.

Chevrolet Trax vs Trailblazer

Two of Chevrolet’s most compact SUVs, the 2026 Chevrolet Trax and Chevrolet Trailblazer, still pack a lot into their small packages. Loaded with modern technology and a surprising amount of interior space, like the Trax’s 54.1 cu-ft of cargo volume behind the front seats.

The Trax is also comfortable on long trips and well-appointed, but it doesn’t offer AWD. If AWD is a must, the Trailblazer has you covered. While sharing many features with the Trax, the Trailblazer is set apart by its muscular styling, modern digital dashboard, and slightly more spacious interior.

If you want a compact daily driver, the Trax is your SUV, while the Trailblazer offers a refreshingly modern driving experience and AWD.

You can see both side by side using our comparison tool.

Chevrolet Colorado vs Silverado

All the functionality of a half-ton truck in a city-sized package, the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is a midsize pickup that delivers plenty of capability. A step up from the Colorado, the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado is a capable pickup with a spacious interior and modern technology. The Silverado offers three engine options, of which the 3.0L diesel hauls up to an estimated 13,300 pounds when properly equipped.

There’s only one engine available for the Colorado: a 2.7L turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers punchy low-end torque and an estimated 7,700 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped.

While the Colorado is more city-friendly and lacks big engine options, it’s still a capable and comfortable truck packed with modern features.

But if space and towing are important to you, the Silverado is the Chevy truck for you.

Put them side by side in our comparison tool and see for yourself which one fits your lifestyle better.

Chevrolet Malibu vs Chevrolet Camaro

Combining the one-two punch of powerful engine options and capable handling, the Chevrolet Camaro gets your heart rate up and brings a smile to your face as it cuts into corners. Available in a variety of trims and engine options, it's the 6.2L V8 engine that stands out.

Inside, the Camaro has sports seats that hold you tight, modern infotainment, and attractive visual queues. The Chevrolet Malibu takes a more restrained approach, delivering a spacious passenger cabin, generous cargo cubes, and a refined ride. A turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine powers the Malibu, netting an EPA-estimated 28 mpg city and 36 mpg highway.

If you feel the need for speed, the legendary Camaro is worth checking out. However, if you’re looking for something more family-friendly, check out a Malibu.

You can compare both using our comparison tool.
