PUBLISHED THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2021

A lineup with something for everyone.

Chevrolet SUVs Comparison: Hero | CarMax

SUVs are popular because they're so versatile, and Chevrolet's SUV lineup reflects that flexibility. While Honda and Toyota both have an impressive SUV lineup, it's Chevy that delivers the most variety. From the massive Suburban (which is great if you have a large family or friend group) to the compact Trax (which is good for city slickers), Chevrolet's seven SUVs offer plenty of high-tech features, stylish details, and more than enough room for everyone.

Wondering which one is right for you? Take a look at our detailed comparison of the Chevrolet SUV lineup so you can choose the one that's best for you. Here's what you'll learn:

Features and Trim Options

What makes Chevrolet SUVs stand out? Their space. In the popular Suburban, you can fit between seven and nine passengers. Even in the smallest model—the Trax—there's plenty of room for everyone. All Chevrolet SUVs offer the option of all-wheel drive, except the Tahoe and Suburban, which have optional four-wheel-drive systems. You'll also find tech features like Bluetooth® connectivity standard on all 2019 Chevrolet SUVs, with smartphone connectivity as an option.

Chevrolet Trax

Chevrolet Trax

The Trax is Chevrolet's smallest SUV, but it comes with lots of standard features. The 2015-2021 Trax has seating for five and 18.7 cubic feet of cargo space, powered by a 138-hp, Ecotec® 1.4L turbocharged engine. The Trax comes in three trim levels: LS, LT, and Premier. Even the base LS trim has plenty of features, while the Premier trim adds driver aids, a sunroof, and leatherette seating.

Here's what you'll find on all 2019 Chevrolet Trax SUVs:

  • Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto connectivity

  • Remote keyless entry

  • Available all-wheel drive

  • Six-speaker audio system

Chevrolet Equinox

Chevrolet Equinox

The Equinox is a long-running Chevy SUV that's popular for its small size and versatility. The Equinox offers seating for five and 29.9 cubic feet of cargo space on 2019-2021 models. The additional cargo space makes the Equinox a great choice if you want a smaller SUV that can still fit all your sports equipment or camping gear. The Equinox was fully redesigned in 2018, and the current generation comes in four trim levels: L, LS, LT, and Premier.

The 170-hp, turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine is standard on all 2018-2020 trims, but the LT and Premier offer two additional engine options: a 252-hp, turbocharged 2L four-cylinder or a 137-hp, turbodiesel 1.6L four-cylinder.

Here's what you'll find on all 2019 Chevrolet Equinoxes:

  • Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity

The Suburban was redesigned for 2021 with new driver-assistance features and engine options, so look for this SUV if you want the latest tech.

The 2019 Suburban comes in three trim levels: LS, LT, and Premier. In that model year, a 355-hp, 5.3L V8 engine is standard on all trims, while a 420-hp, 6.2L V8 is available on the Premier trim.
