2004 Chevrolet TahoeBrowning28 - Modesto, CA05/24/2011
I have had many cars over my lifetime. Including 4x4 pickups. The fully loaded Z71 Tahoe was a little too pricey to buy new for me 48k + tax & license. So, I waited and waited until I found a really nice (looks like new) one. I go hunting every year and I have to say the 4x4 works great! I have taken this Tahoe places I never dreamed it would go. I highly recommend this getting the Z71 package (which they no longer make) if you are considering buying a used Tahoe and want it basically loaded. Like the LT. Mine was special ordered from a local dealership with every option available. I lucked out big time. Good Luck
The best SUV
2010 Chevrolet TahoeArnaldo Borrero-Rivera - Colorado Springs, CO07/25/2015
This is my second Tahoe, I have own other makes of SUVs and this Tahoe are by far the best. Other than some minor issues with door actuators and power side mirrors most visits to the dealership have been for regular maintenance.Powerful engine, great to tackle winter snow months in Colorado with the 4X4. Gas consumption, although best in class, is a little high specially if you do your driving mainly within the city, however the flex fuel option allow you to use the cheap gas.
Would buy over and over again
2007 Chevrolet TahoeCarson - Shawnee, KS01/25/2015
I was in a bad car wreck which totaled my car, through my insurance I was given a 2014 chevy suburban for 2 weeks and feel in love with it, it was enormous, clean looking and fun to drive. So when it came time to buy a new car i went with the tahoe not needing that extra space (or cost) of a suburban. I got an 07 Tahoe and it looks like it could be a 2014, I love this ride, it still handles and looks like a brand new car at 100k+ miles.
Chevrolet Tahoe Overview
The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV that rules the road with its commanding size. The Tahoe is absolutely great for anyone who is seeking a big SUV to haul family, any gear, and still be able to tow something for the trip.
Chevrolet Tahoe History
The Chevrolet Tahoe nameplate was first introduced in 1995 as the four-door version of the Blazer. Because it was powered by a powerful V8 engine, it easily overpowered the competition and rose in popularity. The Tahoe's second generation redesign, which debuted in 2000, affected all trims except the upscale Limited which debuted the same year.
How It Drives
The Chevy Tahoe is gargantuan. It's spacious and useful, but it can feel structured, weighty, and rigid to drive, but its powerful engine helps to balance it out and keep that weight in check. Its acceleration has enough power to easily merge on the highway. The Tahoe can hitch up more than 8,000 lbs in either of its transmissions, making it great for towing boats, and brakes easier than expected for such a heavy vehicle.
Used Chevrolet Tahoe Value
While consumers have trended toward the more car-like crossover SUVs, the Chevrolet Tahoe suits large families on the go, seating up to nine people comfortably with room to take on additional cargo. Due to its practical design and durability, the Tahoe's longevity certainly justifies the starting price.
Chevrolet Tahoe Standard Features
The Tahoe is spacious and seats up to nine passengers comfortably. The Tahoe comes in either four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive versions. Tahoe buyers can select between two engines, including the 4.8L V8 engine and the 5.3L V8 engine. In recent versions, the Tahoe gained a 6.2L V8 engine to the lineup as an option. Standard features for third-generation Tahoes include dual-zone climate control, stability, and leather upholstery.
