The cabin feels right too, not like a cargo van. It is tall enough that you are able to see in parking lots around all of the huge suvs in the parking spaces and gives you a good view of the road. It gets about the same mileage as my old 6 cylinder Malibu, but this is a 4 cylinder engine, and if you are not in a hurry, has an eco button to help cut down on fuel usage.

I test drove it and it felt nice so we bought it. Boy was that a mistake! When accelerating, especially to get on the parkway it doesn't move but the tachometer goes up to 5-6 in the beginning but now goes up to 7 after 2 years. The gas mileage for this small suv is aweful eco button on or not. The radio doesn't go loud enough for my liking and the speakers are aweful. No lock button on passenger side and no air vents in the back. Freeze in the front bc it's hot in the back. Now it shuts off on its own. P0011 issue. Not good!

Great Car!!!

Great on mileage. Comfortable and easy to ride.

Womens size SUV at the right price !

This car is definitely a women's car. it is just the "right" size. I like seeing over the traffic. Love SUV's. Has a great turning radius. It's good on gas. Has umph, but remember it's a V4. Enough room in the back for your groceries or your mother's "walker".

- Ellen Niit, 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

GREAT little crossover!

After driving a couple other crossovers (even the Chevy Equinox), I decided I like the Captiva better and here's why: The car doesn't feel too heavy for the engine. Meaning-I don't feel like I'm lugging around extra weight that the little engine can't handle. It's good on gas! There's plenty of room to haul things. Obviously I wouldn't load this car down with a heavy load, but I can get more into it than I got into my Honda Civic. LOVE the heated seats. Obviously this wasn't a requirement when I was car shopping but it's definitely a plus! Great visibility out the sides and back. Tried out the Nissan Rogue, and Hyundai's crossover - they were bubble shaped, tiny back windows, and obstructions out the sides that added to my blind spots.
