The Chevrolet SS excels in performance with its powerful 6.2L V8 engine, praised for its braking and handling. Customers highlighted design comfort and technology features like lane departure alerts, though fuel economy and winter handling were drawbacks. Reliability was occasionally noted, but the overall ownership experience is overwhelmingly positive for performance enthusiasts.
For the price that you pay for the SS its the best bang for your buck for a sports sedan vehicle. It comes with a 6.2 V8 making 415 hp and 415 tq. Love the performance of the vehicle and its a perfect daily. Yes, mpg are a bit disappointing but the performance/drive makes up for that. The SS has plenty of leg room and a good size trunk. If you're looking for a gorgeous looking sedan and want the performance, look no further. The Chevy SS will delivery plus more!
Whats not to like from a 6.2 V8 415 hp sedan? Also, the exhaust note is nice, but would wish it was just a bit louder.
The technology may be a bit outdated but it still has great lane departure and front colosion alert.
Trunk space is great! Has more than enough room for groceries or for vacation trips.
This is by far the only thing I don't like about the SS. I drive mostly highway miles and get about 17.5 to 18 MPG average. But you don't buy a performance sedan because you care about the MPG....if you are, this isn't the vehicle for you.
Awesome power and performance family car.
Stops like a beast.
Besides a supercharger and 10-20k more, what else could you possibly want?
The smiles to cost ratio is nice.
Recalls and satnav went out in less than a month of ownership
Um yeah...
Same reasons as cost of ownership.
This car isn't for the average driver. It's a true 4-door sports car. Chevrolet currently uses this model for racing. For those people who cannot handle a Corvette engine in a sedan, get a Malibu (LOL).
6.2 liter V8...need I say more?
Built by Holden in Australia. Holden is well-known for their quality and has much better warranties than other car makes.
Has much better visibility than Chevy's 2-door ugly Camaro
6.2 liter V8 isn't a hybrid. But, for a V8, it isn't bad either.
Rear-wheel drive and usually equipped with "summer-only" tires. Not good for winter driving where snow and ice happen. You should have a "daily driver" if you own the SS.
