Second generation Chrysler 300
Chrysler introduced the modern 300 as a full-size sedan in 2005 but made important changes for the second generation that debuted in 2011. The latest-generation Chrysler 300 shares its front suspension design with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the rear suspension design with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, giving this sedan excellent ride and handling characteristics. Under the hood, Chrysler offers the reliable Pentastar V6 as a base engine or a selection of optional V8s depending on the model year. All 300s use an automatic transmission, but V6-powered 300s offer all-wheel drive as an option in addition to the car’s standard rear-wheel drive.
Notable variants of the Chrysler 300 include the limited-edition 2023 Chrysler 300C, which uses Chrysler’s 6.4-liter V8 engine and offers upgraded BREMBO® brakes. The 300C is the muscle car of the 300 lineup. The same engine had been previously offered in the Chrysler 300 SRT8 from 2012 to 2014.
