5 reasons to buy the 2023 Ford F150 Lightning

1. Standard range increase

Small benefits can really add up, and the 2023 Ford F150 Lightning has tweaked existing perks by improving the range of its standard battery pack. The standard 2023 model now has an EPA-estimated range of 240 miles on a full charge—an extra 10 miles on a full charge compared to the 2022 model year.

The powertrain in this electric truck makes it fun to drive, with smooth handling and lashings of torque, so you'll be grateful for that extra handful of miles when enjoying the open road.

2. Huge cabin

The Ford F150 has never been dainty, and the 2023 Ford F150 Lightning is no different. One of the main benefits of this vehicle's heft is its huge, spacious cabin that seats five. Front and rear legroom are both just shy of 44 inches, so even tall passengers can sit comfortably. Plus, you won't be thrown around when traversing bumpy terrain, thanks to comfortable seats that hold you in place. Cargo volume in the 2023 Ford F150 Lightning is 52.8 cu-ft, with a 5.5-ft bed. That's plenty spacious for any equipment, tools, or furniture you need to transport.

3. Generous list of features

The base model 2023 Ford F150 Lightning has a large 12-inch touchscreen with SYNC® 4 infotainment software, featuring crisp graphics and easy usability. The vehicle also has an available Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker stereo, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto connectivity, and physical knobs for some of the most-used functions like climate control.

There are also lots of driver aids to keep your mind at ease on long journeys, including blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and lane keep assist.

4. Ideal for the great outdoors

The 2023 Ford F150 Lightning is a robust vehicle made for heading out into nature. Every version of this vehicle has AWD, skid plates, a locking rear differential, and much more to make adventuring across forests, hills, or beaches easier than ever. There's 8.4 inches of ground clearance, and the 2023 Ford F150 Lightning can tow up to an estimated 5,000 lbs with the standard range battery, or up to an estimated 7,700 lbs with the extended range battery (both when fully equipped).

Each model also has trailer sway control as standard.

5. Four exciting trims

There are four trims of the 2023 Ford F150 Lightning to choose from: Pro, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum. The first three have the standard battery pack with the EPA-estimated 240 miles of range on a full charge, but higher trims can be found with the available extended-range battery that gets an EPA-estimated 320 miles on a full charge.

While the base Pro trim has plenty of features, the XLT adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an interior work surface. The Lariat adds leather upholstery and a 15.5-inch touchscreen, while the top-spec Platinum includes an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen® stereo and rain-sensing windshield wipers. All of this adds a touch of luxury to an otherwise down-to-earth vehicle.
