5 reasons to buy the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500

1. Powerful engine options

Considering the size of the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500, you would be right to think that there must be a potent engine that helps it do all the heavy-duty things it's expected to do. It's offered with two engine options, the standard being a 6.6L V8 that's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, generating 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque. The available option consists of a 6.6L V8 Duramax Diesel that's mated to a ten-speed automatic and puts out 445 hp and an incredible 910 lb-ft of torque.

2. Amazing towing capacity

All that power under the hood of the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 goes toward a very high towing capacity, among other things. When powered by the strongest 6.6L V8 Duramax Diesel engine, it can tow up to 20,000 lbs when properly equipped, which should be enough to meet most of your utility needs.

In addition to the sheer strength, it's also equipped with various features that make towing things even easier. They include trailer tire pressure and temperature sensors, an auxiliary trailer camera, as well as outside vertical trailering mirrors.

3. Payload capability

On top of towing, the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 ranks highly in terms of payload capability, as well. It can carry up to 3,979 lbs with the diesel engine, allowing you to haul plenty of cargo. Thanks to features such as a six-way power tailgate that you can fold into a workstation or a step for easier access to the bed, hauling cargo becomes that much more convenient. Steps on the sides of the bed and on the corners of the rear bumper further contribute to the ease of access.

4. Standard tech features

As far as infotainment and connectivity are concerned, the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 comes with plenty of features that are part of the standard equipment. For starters, there is a standard seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto integration. Furthermore, it has two USB ports and two stereo speakers, as well as a rearview camera.

5. Different cab style choices

Another attractive aspect of the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 is the configurability when it comes to cab styles. It's offered in several variations, allowing you to choose the one that suits your needs and lifestyle the most. Depending on your preference, you can opt for a two-door regular cab, a four-door double cab, or a four-door crew cab. All cab styles come with either an 8.1-foot long bed or a 6.8-foot standard bed.
