5 reasons to buy the 2017 Honda HR-V
1. Flexible cabin space
It may be a compact crossover, but the 2017 Honda HR-V offers lots of flexibility when you have passengers or cargo to carry. As well as up to 100.1 cu-ft of passenger space inside, there is up to 24.3 cu-ft of cargo capacity with the rear seats in place. Fold them down to liberate up to 58.8 cu-ft of room, and if you need to transport long or tall items, the HR-V can swallow that, too. Fold down the front and rear passenger seats and you can carry items up to eight feet in length. Fold up the 60/40 split rear Magic Seat and you have almost four feet of space from floor to ceiling.
2. Stylish appearance
The 2017 Honda HR-V packs a lot of style onto its compact dimensions. The chunky and elevated looks taper into a slightly sloping rear roofline for a sporty touch. A choice of eight paint colors – including Misty Green Pearl, Milano Red, and Mulberry Metallic – means you and the HR-V stand out, whether in the office parking lot or when on the school run.
3. High-grade interior
Complementing the smart exterior appearance, the interior of the 2017 Honda HR-V is made from high-grade, soft-touch materials. Leather upholstery is standard on the top-spec EX-L Navi trim, along with leather coverings on the steering wheel and shift knob. These upscale materials and the classy design ensures you and your passengers will feel good while on the move.
4. Useful technology
A wealth of onboard technology will keep you and your passengers entertained. New for 2017 is the addition of Bluetooth® audio streaming and Honda's HandsFreeLink® connectivity. The entry-level LX trim has a five-inch color LCD screen audio system, while EX and EX-L Navi trims feature a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen system with Pandora® compatibility. Automatic climate control and heated front seats are also standard on EX and EX-L trims – the latter also with standard navigation – making the 2017 HR-V a comfortable and technology-packed crossover.
5. Good fuel economy
The 2017 Honda HR-V family is powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder gasoline engine. With 141 hp and a continuously variable automatic transmission, or an available six-speed manual on LX and EX trims, the HR-V has decent power even if it isn't the quickest vehicle in its class. The 2WD CVT is the best HR-V if you favor fuel economy, achieving an EPA-estimated 31 mpg combined score, making it one of the more fuel efficient vehicles in its class.
The available Real Time AWD system is especially helpful if you live where you need the added traction to combat snow and other foul weather, and it still gets good fuel economy with an EPA-estimated 29 mpg combined.Shop with your budget in mind
