2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport review

1. Lots of practical space 

Whatever you want or need to carry, the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has lots of trunk space. Behind the rear seats you can fit up to 35.4 cu-ft of cargo, and a hugely practical 71.5 cu-ft when you fold them down. That’s more than enough space for daily errands, or dropping the kids at the beach, and with a hidden underfloor storage compartment, valuables can be kept out of sight. Added usability comes from the second-row 40/20/40 split-fold seats. 

2. A smart appearance 

The sharp lines and smart appearance of the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport will appeal if you want a classy-looking CUV. The rising rear window line, rear spoiler, and available integrated roof rails lend the 2014 Santa Fe Sport a sporty look, complemented by a range of nine body colors. Choose Cabo Bronze, Canyon Copper, Juniper Green, Marlin Blue, or Serrano Red for a chic but impactful presence. 

3. Feature-packed trims 

If you want a small crossover SUV with lots of standard features, the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport will appeal. Base Sport trim has 17-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, keyless entry, air conditioning, Bluetooth^® connectivity, iPod^®/USB integration, satellite radio, a six-speaker audio set-up, and Hyundai’s Blue Link^® telematics system. The Sport 2.0T trim has 18-inch wheels and a trailer prep package. It also includes features from the Popular Equipment package available optionally on the base model, including a 4.3-inch color touchscreen with a rearview camera. A blind-spot detection driver-assist system is new for 2014. 

4. Available packages 

Available packages for the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport make it an even more attractive proposition. The Popular Equipment package for the base trim adds heated front seats and a power driver’s seat. Choose the Premium package for proximity key entry and push button start, climate control, and leather seats. Available for the Sport 2.0T trim, the Navigation package adds an eight-inch color navigation system, and an Infinity^® premium audio set-up. The Technology package can be added to both trims for features such as a panoramic sunroof, and rear parking sensors. 

5. Choice of two engines 

Whether you’re cruising the highway or on the daily commute to the office, the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has a choice of two engine options to suit every driving scenario. The base trim has a 2.4L four-cylinder gas engine with 190 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. The Sport 2.0T trim’s turbocharged 2.0L engine has 264 hp and 269 lb-ft for perkier performance. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, along with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional.
