2018 Infiniti QX30 is an interesting mashup
The 2018 Infiniti QX30 tries to be a crossover, hatchback and coupe all at the same time. If you're looking for a small SUV that's sporty and fun to drive the QX30 is a fine choice, but its do-it-all approach comes with a few pros and cons. The large trunk opening increases its cargo space and the option of all-wheel drive and a raised suspension adds to its sporty credibility. That same sportiness hurts this luxury SUV's ride quality, as the suspension is stiff; tuned more for hugging curves than softening bumps on the road. Interior space is also lacking compared to its rivals, and legroom in the back seat is limited. The QX30's coupe-like styling also makes it a bit tougher to get in and out of and limits rear visibility. However, rivals like Mercedes-Benz and BMW can’t beat the Infiniti QX30’s price, so for shoppers looking for a good value, the QX30 might be a solid choice.

What We Like
Driving: The QX30 is dynamic and fun to drive. It accelerates sharply and handles sharp corners well and doesn’t feel like you're driving an SUV. The steering is also precise, making it easy to find a comfortable center point while driving.
Tech: There's a generous number of features included on base models, including a rearview camera, Bluetooth® connectivity and a 7-inch touchscreen—however, there's no Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™.
Interior: Controls inside the QX30 are easy to use and understand, and the 7-inch touchscreen features a rotary dial that can be used to control the infotainment system. The driver's seat is adjustable and it's relatively easy to find a comfortable seating position.
What Needs Improvement
Comfort: The sporty suspension of the QX30 compromises the comfort you'd expect in a luxury SUV. The Infiniti's interior is also a bit cramped, especially if you're in the back seat, where legroom comes at a premium.
