2024 Kia K5 comes packed with standard features
The Kia K5 received minor changes, including heated seats added to the GT-Line trim, for 2024, and Edmunds ranks it as one of the best midsize sedans you can buy. It comes packed with features, including upgraded adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning. Remote engine start, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and USB ports for both front and rear passengers are standard as well.
The K5's sporty design helps set it apart from competitors like the Toyota Camry and Honda Civic, but don't be fooled: It's not a sports car. Acceleration is modest with the base trim and engine, and even upgrading to the GT-Line doesn't make this more than a nice-to-look-at grocery-getter.
Those looking for a value-packed and roomy sedan, though, won't be disappointed. Cargo space is about standard for a midsize sedan, but legroom is ample for both front and rear passengers. The K5 is also impressively quiet on the highway thanks to its excellent suspension, making long drives more pleasant.

What We Like
Packed with features: Even on the base trim of the K5, you get advanced adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, remote engine start, heated mirrors, and loads of places to charge your device. This is a sedan that comes packed with useful features.
Comfortable ride: The suspension in the K5 makes for a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride on the highway. The front seats are comfortable, adding enough side padding to minimize fatigue on a long road trip. You can also get heated and ventilated seats on higher trim levels.
Interior storage: The K5 can hold 16 cubic feet of storage in the trunk, which is about standard for a vehicle of its size. Where it excels is interior storage, offering numerous places to stash cellphones, purses, and other small items. Higher trim levels have a spring-loaded slot where you can store and wirelessly charge your phone.
What Needs Improvement
Acceleration: It's got enough oomph to get up to speed on a highway ramp, but it is still a rather slow sedan. That won't be a deal breaker for most shoppers, but given its sporty appearance and its second trim's GT-Line moniker, those who come to the K5 hoping for a fun ride will be disappointed.
