5 reasons to buy the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback

1. Fun, responsive driving experience

Are you seeking a compact car that is fun, responsive, and looks great? Look no further. The 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is powered by a 2.0L 169-hp engine, with 151 ft-lbs. of torque. Base models have a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, though a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is optional.

2. Sporty exterior and interior designs

The base 2020 Corolla Hatchback SE, XSE, and SE Nightshade models all have a sleek, sporty body styling that is lower to the ground, wider, and more aggressive than previous years' models. Their interiors are roomier than you would expect up front, while the rear seats are best suited for children or adults under six feet. Sporty cloth seats are standard in the SE trim levels, while the XSE model offers leather seat trim as standard.

3. Many driver-assist features

All 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchbacks are equipped with driver-assist options like automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control, steering assist, and pre-collision detection with pedestrian detection. Look out for the available blind spot monitoring and audio upgrades too. If there are any pedestrians or vehicles ahead that you don't see immediately, the Corolla's front and rear-facing cameras can detect and alert you about potential hazards on the road.

4. Great visibility around the vehicle

The 2024 Corolla Hatchback offers you great visibility of the road ahead, behind, and through the side windows, minimizing blind spots along your journey. A low hood line helps you see down the road, while large side and hatch windows help you make hassle-free lane changes. Toyota decided to leave it up to you to decide whether to use services like Google or Apple Maps to guide your navigation, as opposed to equipping it natively in the vehicle.

5. Ideal for families with children

There is plenty of space in the driver's and passenger front seats for you and your vertically gifted companions, and entering and exiting from those seats is easy. Yet the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is like many other compacts in its class in that there is sufficient legroom and head clearance in the back for a six-footer for a short trip, yet they wouldn't be comfortable if you took them on a longer journey. This vehicle is better suited for young children in the back, or for folding down the seats to accommodate luggage, groceries, or sporting equipment. There are 42 inches of leg room in the front seat and just less than 30 inches of leg room for back seat passengers.
