Volvo V90
One of just a handful of midsize luxury wagons available in America, the Volvo V90 has elegant lines that help it stand out from traditional crossover SUVs. Two trims were available, the sporty R-Design and luxurious Inscription, both available with a choice of different four-cylinder engines. The V90 is available with a range of high-end features, including massaging seats, an adaptive air suspension, and a 19-speaker premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Unfortunately, its attractive design wasn't enough to keep it alive, and Volvo discontinued the V90 in 2022. Volvo wagon fans note that the SUV-like Cross Country version remained available through 2026 and is covered separately.

Second generation Volvo V90
Volvo has a long history of offering wagons, and when the V90 arrived in 2018, it took its proper place as the brand’s flagship wagon. With a front-end design that matched its S90 sedan counterpart, the V90 stood apart from rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon thanks to its long roof and sleek style. The V90's cabin had an upscale vibe, with standard leather trim and refined materials throughout, and there was ample space for front- and rear-seat passengers. Volvo's Sensus infotainment system was standard with a nine-inch vertical display screen featuring Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
The 2018 Volvo V90 came standard with a T5 turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and front-wheel drive, while all-wheel-drive versions used the T6 turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter engine for a considerable boost in power.
