The Volvo V90 Cross Country is a sleek midsize wagon with rugged styling, providing a non-SUV alternative to its XC90 SUV sibling. One of the few wagons left on the market in the U.S., the 2026 V90 Cross Country is available in a single, well-equipped trim. The Ultra features proper Swedish styling inside with an elegant cabin adorned with open-pore wood trim, Nappa leather upholstery, and the centerpiece, an Orrefors crystal gear selector. The Google-based infotainment system displays on a vertical 9-inch touchscreen and comes standard with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Sadly, the V90 Cross Country will be following the same path as all its fallen comrades, and the 2026 model year will be this stylish wagon's last.

Second generation Volvo V90 Cross Country
Volvo has been building wagons since the 1950s, and the V90 Cross Country has helped to carry on that rich tradition. Residing at the top of the lineup as the brand's flagship wagon, the V90 Cross Country brought sleek styling with a rugged flair thanks to its body cladding and a raised ground clearance. The V90 came standard with a premium interior, replete with leather upholstery, real wood trim, and upscale materials throughout. Volvo's Sensus infotainment system was standard during the initial years, but the V90 was upgraded to a more intuitive Google-based system in 2022.
Volvo offered two powertrains in the V90 Cross Country when it arrived: the T5 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and the T6 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged engine, delivering a plentiful 316 horsepower. All-wheel drive was standard on all variants of the V90 Cross Country. By 2020, the Cross Country came standard with the T6 engine, but in 2022, the T6 was replaced by a mild hybrid version of the turbocharged, supercharged engine.
