This is truely a dream to drive. I bought the v8 version that has the navigational system. You can do 80 mph and have no Idea. I was able to pass a mercedes with out any hesitation to merge on the highway. This suv pampers you in every way. Windows and sunroof are one touch buttons. Even the shade to cover the massive sunroof is one touch. The sunroof has a automatic bug deflector that pops up to keep wind noise down when you open it. The sunroof is a 5 foot panel that slides back far enough for the middle seat passengers to have a great view of the sky.GM thought of everything. The hood is held up with pneumatic shocks instead of a prop rod.You can taylor the car's settings to your own preferences. It would know your settings just from your remote or key and make changes accordinly. The car tells you of the tire pressures (individually). The bose sound system is loud and has an xm radio built in. OnStar is easy to activate and emails you of car maintenence and status. The navigation system is very accurate and easy to use. The srx 8 has an automatic/manual mode for a more sporty feeling; basically to drive like a stick shift with out the hassle of pedals. The middle seat has a/c controls over their heads and the driver can use or disable them from the driver's seat. Everyone seated in the car pretty much has their own ac vent including far rear seat. The fold away rear car seat makes it easy to convert the car to a 7 passenger suv with a push of a button. Everyone has their own head rest. It has reverse assist. (basically a 3 tree light that lets you know how close something is behind you before you bump it; using sonar.) You can operate 3 garage doors with the intergraded garage remote. Most importantly this vehicle is made in Michigan by union labor and has a label in the door saying made proudly by UAW local 652. I really had my heart set on an escalade or hummer h2 but the precision and speed of this car made me see what i would have missed. A simple test drive at carmax changed my mind. This suv is going to replace my oldsmobile bravada and yes it's great to be here in the gentilemen's club!
It has some pickup, I prefer the way the Cadillac SRX looks compared to other comparable vehicles to this model. I went for the used model with low miles but I would like the package with heated seats! The base model does not have those. However even the base model is "americal luxury"
Love GMC vehicles
