Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Brown Average Vehicle Review: (4.55 reviews) HVAC controls are difficult to use with 8 buttons to change. Not easy to change HVAC modes while driving. No Bluetooth for radio, only has Aux In. Aiming ventilators is limited. Hard to get cold (or warm) air to rear seat. 3 position reclining rear seats is a total of less than 5. You are joking...right? Rear seat is very roomy. Seat comfort is good. City mpg is only fair. Long trip mpg near 34mpg at 75mph.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.29 reviews) I wanted a car that would haul light duty and seat 4 adults comfortably. It also had to get good gas mileage and be reliable. This vehicle does all that I ask of it and with no fuss. The car is quick to start making heat usually just a couple of minutes to get some heat. It is a good size as in it is easy to drive and to park, but still can easily haul groceries, Christmas presents, water softener salt. I like that the hatch has room for me to stand under without hitting my head, and provides a rain shield while loading the car.

So far this is my favorite car that I've owned in my 41 years of life. It rides very smoothly and handles very nice. It has all the bells and whistles also. Remote start, heated seats, memory seat, rear view camera, and lane departure/collision warning. The seats are very comfortable. It has plenty of leg room wherever you sit.

Chevrolet Equinox LTZ Popular Features

From 2010-2016, the LTZ was the range-topping trim on the Chevrolet Equinox. Beginning with the 2017 model year, however, the LTZ was renamed as the Premier trim.

The features you'll find on used LTZ models will depend on model year and whether any add-ons or packages were included. On the 2014 model, for example, the LTZ adds 18-inch chrome-alloy wheels and additional chrome exterior trim accents for a sleek look. Inside the cabin, leather upholstery adds a luxurious feel, while power-adjustable front seats with driver-seat memory functions provide customizable support. The 2014 LTZ also includes driver-assistance features, like forward-collision and lane-departure alert systems, as well as available remote start for added convenience.3

On the 2016 Equinox LTZ, you'll find much of the same equipment, with the addition of automatic climate control for greater comfort inside the cabin. As you shop used models, you may also come across additional features like a built-in navigation system and a premium eight-speaker Pioneer® sound system, as the 2016 LTZ was available with a Technology Package (and other add-ons).

3Remote start functionality may require the purchase of a subscription plan and/or a compatible device like a smart phone. See the owner’s manual or manufacturer website for more information.

My Equinox

I didn't know I was looking for my Equinox until I found it. Crazy? Yeah, I know. But my search for an affordable, attractive and dependable SUV had been diffucult to say the least. After looking at the Cherokee, Honda and other brands both domestic and imported, my nephew suggested I look at the Equinox. There was one in my price range that happened to be an '06. The prospect of buying a 5 year old car didn't appeal to me, but the car had only 45K miles on it, and I learned that the Chevy was a brand that held its' value better than most others in its' class. Also, I was very happy to do my part for the economy by buying American. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend the Equinox to anyone.
